seashells and WATW

Hubby picked these up for me when we were at Ototoka Beach
last week.

I think spring may be very close and
I am so happy about the thought! How is your week looking?

Look what followed me home!

I was driving home today and was surprised to see this
lovely rainbow as I drove along. It's a good thing there's not
much traffic on the backroads!

I think these are perfect shots for my 2000th post!

Some random shots

Whatever works! This photo was taken somewhere
on a Taranaki backroad.

Some flowers on a rainy day

With all the storms and devastation around the world, I  feel guilty
about complaining about rain every day.
So, I will share some lovely flowers to lighten my mood today.

down the beach at Ototoka

I really like all the different textures in this photo.

This lovely piece of driftwood was against the embankment in the center of the photo above.
Having a great zoom on my camera allowed me to capture it so well.

These fishermen were standing on the little peninsula
jutting out from the land to the left of center in the top photo.
The two lumps of rock/driftwood can be seen in both shots.

This fella was the farthest out on the peninsula.

Ototoka beach

Now that I've been in New Zealand for over 10 years, I like to think I know my way around Taranaki pretty well. Going through my archives (and seeing photos of others on FB), I find places that I recognize enough that I want to revisit and this beach is one of them.

Years ago, I took a photo of the kids on the bridge, but I couldn't get down the path.

Wednesday around the World

This mural is a lovely sight along a Taranaki backroad.
