monarch

I edited this photo in Picmonkey, although I can do it with my camera--but I don't think about it when I'm taking photos.

Beautiful picture, I love how you have done this. What type of butterfly is it?

Interesting way of getting your subject to stand out. I was totally surprised to see a Monarch Butterfly in New Zealand. A quick search of the internet brought my knowledge up to date. Thanks to you I lost some of ignorance today.

Ha ha , I really should have had my coffee, too much looking at the picture and ignoring the title! :) It is a beautiful Monarch butterfly. We have had so few butterflies this year, really sad.

Wonderful. I'm useless at editing like that - takes me ages!

Beautiful picture and editing ... I am curious as to what kind of camera you have that you could accomplish this with it alone. I agree, you needn't think about your edits as you photograph ... there is time for that and you clearly are very good at it. Very nice, Betty ...

Very nice use of selective coloring to highlight just the butterfly.
